FAQ

ALL NATURAL STRAND BY STRAND SYSTEM

Q: How is it applied or attached to my hair?
A: The Optimal Image Strand by Strand is a very unique interlocking technique that involves weaving small amounts of hair onto your hair. The Optimal Image Strand by Strand does not cover your hair, but blends in with your own hair. Giving you a more natural look and feel. It’s the only all natural hair extension system in the world. There’s absolutely NO glue, wax, thread, beads, chemicals, adhesives, or foreign objects in your hair. Just hair secured to hair - that’s it nothing else!

Q: Is this Micro-Braiding?
A: No. Micro braids are visible. The Optimal Image All Natural Strand by Strand System is very undetectable. Even to the naked eye.

Q: Will it cause any damage to my hair?
A: No. When following the recommended weekly hair maintenance, the Optimal Image Strand by Strand system will not cause any damage to your natural hair or the add-in hair. It can actually promote healthier hair growth.

Q: Does the add-in hair shed or tangle?
A: Yes & No. Your own natural hair sheds on average about 100 to 150 hairs a day. So there will be natural hair shedding. However, when the recommended weekly hair maintenance is followed consistently, there’s no excessive shedding and virtually no tangles with the add-in hair. You’ll have free-flowing hair, with a natural look and feel. You’ll also have total versatility with the Optimal Image Strand by Strand.

Q: Do you use Human Hair?
A: Yes. We use the very best 100% Human Hair that will match your natural hair color and texture.

Q: How long does it take to apply?
A: Since the Optimal Image Strand by Strand is an All Natural process, it takes approximately 30 to 35 hours or 3 days to apply on African-American hair texture, and approximately 40 to 60 hours or 4 to 6 days to apply on Caucasian/European hair texture.

Q: How long will it last?
A: The Optimal Image Strand by Strand will last 6 to 12 months. The longevity is also based on how fast your natural hair grows and how well you maintain your hair extensions.

Q: Can I still relax or perm my hair?
A: Yes, you can relax or perm your hair without the hassle of removing your hair extensions. Saving you a lot of time and money.

Q: How long does my hair have to be?
A: At least 3 inches long.

Q: I press my hair can I still get The Optimal Image Strand by Strand?
A: If you have coarse hair it is recommended that you relax your hair prior to the Optimal Image Strand by Strand. However, there are other options we can provide. For more information please call an Optimal Image Stylist.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Currently, a full head starts at $4,800 for African - American hair texture, and starts at $6,300 for Caucasian/European hair texture including the hair. Starting prices includes only one color, texture, and length.

Q: Can I get a half of head done or partial extensions?
A: No, this particular method requires balance for it to look natural. Half of heads or partials will look very unnatural and unbalanced.

Q: Can I apply direct heat to my hair?
A: Yes, since it’s just hair secured to hair, you can apply direct heat. However, you must follow the hair maintenance instructions.

Q: What about removing extension or retouches?
A: When the hair maintenance instructions are followed correctly, there’s no retouching necessary. The removal process is easy and takes approximately 5 to 7 hours. We recommend that you have a skilled professional stylist to remove your extensions. We also provide easy to follow take down instructions for clients that are out of state or country.

Q: Is there anyone is my area?
A: Please see “Contact Us”. However, we can travel to you. Additional fees do apply. Or you can recommend a licensed stylist in your area to take the Hair Workshop classes.

Q: Do you provide hair samples?
A: No. During a formal consultation you will be able to see and feel the hair.
